Mazona’s talent for energy healing was discovered in early childhood when she would intuitively lay hands on family members that were in pain or suffering emotionally. Drawn to alternative therapies from a young age, in her early 20’s she was introduced to Reiki under the guidance of a Reiki Master in the UK, who nurtured her natural, intuitive healing abilities.

Her desire to help people in need led her to study social work, a more widely accepted position in healthcare at the time. She specialised in caring for patients with stage 6 & 7 Alzheimer’s, providing a solid understanding of how severe disease impacts patients and family members. During her time studying the effects of serious disease and mental illness, she focused much attention on learning about anxiety, and the overwhelming sense of isolation felt by patients dealing with chronic stress.

While Mazona was eventually drawn back to her true calling of being a Reiki therapist, her experience has inspired her to specialise in the treatment of serious disease, pain management, and anxiety.

As an energy healer, Mazona has had the privilege of visiting hospitals with clients, providing Reiki while they receive mainstream treatments, and has given numerous healings to a wide range of clients suffering a variety of ailments.

Over the last 20 years, Mazona has been mentored by Reiki Masters in England, Ireland, and Australia. Her own Reiki Master lineage can be traced back to the founder of Reiki, Mikao Usui ensuring her practice is derived from the traditional Eastern teachings. Mazona is also a Pellowah practitioner and teacher, a healing modality she was taught under the guidance of the founder of Pellowah, Kachina Ma’an, further ensuring a pure lineage of her dual healing therapies.

Her goal as a Reiki Master and Pellowah teacher is to introduce as many people to the power of Reiki and Pellowah as possible, so that these healing modalities may one day be as commonplace as current popular alternative therapies.
